In November I spent 2 weeks on the road with AERIE. We played Switzerland, Germany and Belgium and also recorded our first album at the end of the tour in the legendary Bauer Studios, Ludwigsburg. Good times with "Aces of Basses" @ festival Jazzkaar
The annual "Jazzkaar" festival in Tallinn has just ended. I was lucky to be a part of the crew this year, helping out with presenting and announcing the shows. We were supposed to warm up for Christian McBride trio with "Aces of Basses", but due to a car accident in Poland, Christian and his band missed their flight, so we became the "main act" for the evening. Led by Raul Vaigla, the quintet with 4 basses and drums, put up a good show. Thanks a lot to Raul Vaigla, Mihkel Mälgand, Mai Jõgi and Reigo Ahven for the memorable performance with "Aces of Basses".
